Objective

Create product packaging to introduce the company's first-ever hardware product and drive increases in Total Processing Volume for Infusionsoft Payments

Critical Problems to Solve

  • Customers need to understand how to setup the reader for first-time use
  • Customers are not clear on the benefits that the hardware reader and coupled software automation provide when fully integrated together

Design Approach

For this project, I wanted to provide a premium feel to the product and to differentiate away from the typical packaging you would come to expect from the average payments reader. I decided to convey that feeling through a tray / sleeve combo with a reticulated spot varnish which allows us to design the glossy areas of the box in anyway we choose. The smooth feel of the box and paper choice really calls attention to the elegant nature of the box with special attention being paid to the unboxing experience. A simple overview booklet accompanies the reader which is the first thing that you see when you pull the tray out.
