Nick Contaldo is a Product Executive who has led product management, product design/UX, engineering, and service teams to build market-defining tech products. With almost 20 years of multi-industry, global product development, digital marketing, and business management experience at high-growth start-ups and public enterprises alike, Nick is a servant leader who knows how to lead teams to accomplish big things. At Synchronoss Technologies (NASDAQ: SNCR) - the global leader in white label personal cloud, RCS messaging, and digital products for the world’s largest telecommunications providers - Nick is Director of Personal Cloud Product Management where he leads a wide-range of mission-critical programs including product portfolio and 5G strategy, micro-app ecosystem, and managed service productization. He was also the global Head of IoT Product Management and P&L owner for Synchronoss’s start-up IoT Business Unit where he developed a real-time Smart Buildings / IoT analytics suite with a multi-property view into facility performance and energy consumption. In his relatively short tenure at Synchronoss Nick has co-led global product and go-to-market activities for three of the company’s five business units and worked across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with the likes of Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Amazon, Assurant, Rackspace, TracFone, Straight Talk, BT, Ooredoo Qatar, Ooredoo Indosat, CityFM UK, and Charter Communications.
Prior to Synchronoss, Nick was the Director of Product Management at Invitation Homes (NYSE: INVH), the largest, single-family rental (SFR) owner/operator in the United States. There he led portfolio strategy and product operations for the company's proprietary SFR technology platform that managed the entire property and resident lifecycle for 80,000 homes in 17 major metro markets. He developed industry-first product that spanned corporate websites, resident marketing, CRM, property management, construction/maintenance, smart Home/IoT, and asset management.
Before his time leading Product Management, Nick was the Director of Product Design & Experience at Keap (formerly Infusionsoft), a seven-time Inc. 500/5000 company that develops a sales, service, and marketing platform for small businesses. There he founded the user experience practice at Infusionsoft and developed the team from a fledging group of interaction designers into the largest and most admired product & service design team in Arizona. During his tenure Nick helped the company grow from $80MM in revenue to becoming the #1 CRM and Marketing Automation platform for small business with $120M in revenue and 30+% CAGR for four years running.
Despite his success and breadth of experience Nick never stops growing, dreaming big, and working hard to solve really difficult market problems. He is a product thought leader who has a passion for developing teams, creating operational excellence, and having fun while doing it. He’s mentored individual contributors who’ve grown into Director’s & VPs, authored several business articles, and spoken at numerous conferences and workshops at Phoenix Design Week, Interaction Design Association, American Institute for Graphic Arts, and Arizona State University.
Nick lives in Phoenix, AZ, has visited every continent except Antarctica and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with BBA in Marketing & International Business.
